Carbon Reduction Plan

1. Commitment to achieving Net Zero

The carbon reduction plan for Zellis Group (Zellis, Moorepay, and Benifex) is designed in line with the UK Government’s Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21.

Net-Zero Target: Zellis Holdings Limited commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by FY2040.

Near-Term Targets: Zellis Holdings Limited commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 58.8% by FY2034 from a FY2024 base year. Zellis Holdings Limited also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 58.8% within the same time frame.

2. Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

4. Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next ten years to 4642.51 tCO2e by FY34. This is a reduction of 58.8%

5. Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the FY2024 baseline.

  • Moving to 100% renewable energy in offices where we control the procurement of energy.
  • Having our Net Zero and emission reduction targets validated by the SBTi.
  • Moving to Electric Vehicles for our cab service for employees in India
  • Energy efficiency improvements including office space consolidation and HVAC upgrades

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Ongoing roll-out of LED lighting and PIR sensors
  • New sustainable procurement measures
  • Increasing the proportion of journeys taken by electric vehicles in India

6. Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting .

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard .

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
